A fragrant, made bed is a place where you can relax after a hard day and fall into a blissful sleep. To keep your mattress or sofa clean, it's worth using cotton sheets. They not only have a protective function but also ensure that your skin comes into contact with a pleasant, smooth fabric. Sheets from Pepco are white and colored cotton bedding items for adults and children, which should be in every home.

Advantages of a sheet

Flooding, staining, or soiling a mattress means it needs to be washed, dried for a long time, and sometimes even replaced entirely. During sleep, various dirt accumulates on it. Not only dust but also dead skin cells. The fabric covering the mattress also absorbs sweat, which over time causes discoloration, unsightly stains, and an unpleasant odor. A protective sheet acts like a cover, limiting the formation of stains and dirt. To have a clean, fragrant bed again, just change it for a fresh one, vacuum the mattress, or disinfect it with a steam cleaner from time to time.

A child's bed requires a suitable sheet. Although the child sleeps in it for a short time, usually two or three years, this mattress unfortunately requires cleaning exceptionally often. It's always worth having children's sheets in stock. Those with elastic are changed very quickly, are soft to the touch, do not irritate a child's skin, do not roll up, and ensure proper mattress ventilation. A protective hygienic mat can be placed under the protective sheet to further protect the mattress from soiling.

The most popular are fitted sheets and flat sheets, for single and double beds. Those with elastic, which cost around PLN 20 at Pepco, perfectly cover the mattress. Do they have drawbacks? For many people, they can be difficult to fold and store. However, there are ways to do this: fold the corners towards each other, one on top of the other, then smooth out the rest of the sheet and fold it inwards. Flat sheets also have advantages — you can adapt one to different mattress sizes or use it while sleeping on a corner sofa or a sofa where there are no corners to hook the elastic onto.

Cotton sheet — properties

Sheets are made from various fabrics. Polyester or blends of synthetic fibers and cotton are popular. From Pepco, we recommend cotton sheets because they are timeless, durable, and have properties that contribute to sleep comfort. First and foremost, a cotton sheet allows the skin to breathe, absorbs moisture that we cannot avoid during rest, but is thin enough to dry very quickly. Cotton is hypoallergenic, natural, pleasant to the touch, and can be dyed in many colors. This is why sheets from Pepco come in various shades — from classic white, through pastels, to darker ones, so everyone can match them to their bedding. They are also durable, withstand washing, drying, and repeated use well, do not pill, and do not wear out. A few spare sheets are enough to avoid buying new bedding for a very long time. Because they are light and do not take up much space, they are easy to store in the bedroom, wardrobe, or under the bed.

Care for a cotton sheet

To keep the sheet hygienic, simply wash it in the washing machine at 40 degrees with laundry detergent, gel, or capsules. Very often, such a sheet only needs to dry and does not require ironing.

We recommend fitted sheets from Pepco. Simply spread them on the mattress, tuck them underneath, and they will stay in place, straightening themselves out. Additionally, they can also be used on sofas and couches for sleeping. If you want a perfectly smooth sheet with a slight satin sheen, simply iron it quickly with a warm iron.

Which sheets can you buy at Pepco?

At Pepco, you can buy fitted or flat sheets in the most popular size, i.e., for a 160 × 200 cm bed. One such sheet costs little. 160 × 200 cm – PLN 19.99, and 180 × 200 cm – PLN 24.99. If you have a smaller mattress and need a 140 × 200 cm sheet, you can use a flat sheet, tucking the edges under the mattress. We are confident that the Pepco offer of bedding and cotton sheets will appeal to you and allow you to protect your bedroom mattress, guest sofa, or child's bed.
