These unique toys not only bring joy to children for years – 100% of the profits from their sale are allocated to charitable causes and the implementation of projects for children and youth.
How do Charity Bears help?
In Poland, funds from the sale of the bears are transferred to the Saint Nicholas Foundation, for educational scholarships for talented students from low-income families. Scholarship recipients emphasize how important this help is to them:
“This is a very noble initiative, and I deeply believe that every Donor will experience as much good as I have during this wonderful school year.”
“Thanks to the scholarship funds, I was able to spread my wings. It’s harder for children with diagnoses to move forward. If someone reaches out a hand or gives a push, it becomes easier. It’s not about how much you have, but how much you give to others and how you share it with them.”
Fashion and charity go hand in hand
The story of the charity bears began in 2018 in Poland, and today they are present in 12 markets: Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Lithuania, Spain, Germany, Italy, and of course, Poland.
“Pepco Charity Bears have for years combined the joy of sharing with our mission of providing help. Thanks to the support of our customers, this unique initiative truly changes the lives of children and youth in many European countries. Each purchase of a bear is an expression of kindness that translates into concrete actions – funding scholarships, educational support, and the development of young people’s talents and passions. Together, we give them a chance for a better future!” – says Kasia Wilczewska, Head of Corporate Communication, Pepco.
The popularity of the plush toys is growing, and with each subsequent edition, we are able to help on an ever-larger scale. In 2024 alone, we sold over 193,000 bears, allocating the profit from sales to support projects of several partner social organizations from Europe.
