The nationwide social campaign #wiemcorobić aims to increase awareness of threats such as child grooming and sextortion. Pepco proudly supports the initiative, which has received the honorary patronage of the Minister of Education, Children's Ombudsman, Ministry of Digital Affairs, Ministry of Justiceand the Commander-in-Chief of the Police.
The #wiemcorobić campaign includes educational and preventive activities aimed at children, parents, and teachers. It is designed to help recognize and counteract dangers lurking on the internet, such as child grooming and sextortion.
The originator and organizer of the campaign is the Society of Friends of Children – our long-term partner – which has invited a wide range of experts to participate, including: a judge, a psychotherapist, a child psychiatrist, a psychologist, a sex educator, and police representatives.
„We believe that education and protection are key to building a safer future for our children. That is why we are pleased that together we are creating the #wiemcorobić campaign, which in an accessible way equips children and youth, as well as parents and teachers, with knowledge and tools to deal with online threats. By acting together with experts, we can have a real impact on improving the safety of the youngest in the digital world,” says Katarzyna Wilczewska, Head of Corporate Communication Pepco.
Educational materials tailored to the needs of children, parents, and teachers are available on the campaign website wiemcorobic.pl, including: lesson plans on online safety, guides for parents on how to support a child in difficult situations, a video spot, and an educational film for children and adults.
Furthermore, on January 16th of this year, teachers will be able to participate in a dedicated webinar and access materials that will help them conduct educational classes on online threats. We encourage you to watch the film and familiarize yourself with the materials available on the campaign website.
